U.S. Border Patrol Apprehension Statistics

U.S. Border Patrol, a part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and a sub-agency of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released its apprehension statistics, which can be found on the CBP website.

There were over 6,800 apprehensions by Border Patrol along the Northern border during fiscal year 2009.  Of those 6,800 apprehensions, over 2,600 were made by Border Patrol officers within the Buffalo Sector.  That is more than twice as many apprehensions than any other Border Patrol Sector along the Northern border.
